Many of us have heard of a mattress protector.  But not all of us use one.  So, what is a mattress protector and do you need one?

Unprotected mattresses can easily become stained, develop an undesirable smell and even become discoloured after exposure to bodily fluids, including perspiration and urine or other liquids.

A mattress protector typically comes in the design of a fitted sheet and is the first piece of bedding you dress your mattress with. They are positioned under your bottom sheet and create a barrier between you and your mattress. Often mattress protectors only offer waterproof protection and are not absorbent…this is where the Conni Micro-Plush range differs (in a good way!)

So, do you need a mattress protector?  We highly recommend you do.

At Conni, one of our main focuses is creating protection for that very important aspect of your bedroom - your mattress. Often, we spend hundreds, if not thousands of dollars, on a mattress that supports our body and makes us want to sleep past 10am on a chilly Sunday morning. With the importance of protecting your investment in mind, all while ensuring that sleep-in is not disturbed, we designed some incredible Mattress Protectors for you.

Our Micro Plush Mattress Protector and Micro Plush Encasement from our Micro Plush Collection are our premium mattress protectors.

As mentioned above, most mattress protectors do not absorb moisture therefore, when exposed to excessive amounts of liquid, this can pool or simply run off.  Our Micro Plush Collection features a beautiful, soft polyester face that is slightly absorbent.  The luxurious feeling of our Micro Plush faces grants you the option to sleep directly upon our Mattress Protector and Encasement, preventing the need to use a bottom sheet.

Suppose you are experiencing night sweats or excessive perspiration. In that case, the Micro Plush Mattress Protector and Micro Plush Encasement will help to absorb sweat, drawing it away from your body and creating a cooler environment. The soft polyester material will continue to breathe, even when wet, unlike cotton. Another plus is our Micro-Plush products (and the rest of our bedding range) are also Oeko-Tex accredited and free from chemicals and PVC, making them safe to use against the skin.

The main difference between our Micro Plush Mattress Protector and Micro Plush Encasement is the style.

The Micro Plush Mattress Protector has a fitted sheet design with elasticised edges.  This particular design allows for quick and easy bed changes as the sheet can easily be slid over the corners of the mattress.  We have also carefully considered the height of your mattress and adorned the Micro Plush Mattress Protector with 40cm deep walls.  This creates the perfect fit for thicker or pillow-top mattresses and helps to protect mattress toppers also.

The waterproof backing covers the entirety of the sheet providing waterproof protection to the top and sides of your mattress.

The style of our Micro Plush Encasement is all in the name… it completely encases your mattress.  This delightful envelope protects the sides, top and bottom of your mattress.  This option is particularly recommended for restless sleepers, as it is secured with a zipper at the foot of the bed which creates a secure and snug fit around the mattress.

If your mattress needs to be flipped to keep the filling evenly distributed, the encasement can remain on the mattress, thus saving you energy and time.

Oh, and did we mention it is so soft you can sleep directly on it?

The Micro Plush Mattress Protector and Micro Plush Encasement are available in all mattress sizes, from single to king.  And while the Micro Plush Encasement is only available in white, the Micro Plush Mattress Protector comes in white or charcoal to match any bedroom decor.

A Micro Plush Mattress protector should be on every bed.  Protect your investment by using a good quality mattress protector from the Micro Plush collection and feel the difference for yourself.
