Here’s Why
While it might seem safe to place a waterproof layer between your electric blanket and Bed Pad, the reality is a bit more complicated. Even the best waterproof sheet can move or shift during the night. If any moisture makes its way to the electric blanket, it could lead to electric shock, serious injury or worse. Certification Body Australia also recommend against using a mattress protector with an Electric Blanket
Because electric blankets are, by nature, electrical devices, they must not come into contact with liquids. And since Conni products are designed to absorb moisture, the risk of fluid exposure is always present, particularly in overnight or heavy leak situations. It’s a risk we simply don’t want you to take.
